Upon graduating from Sekolah Sri Utama students will be receiving IGCSE as well as SPM certificate. This integration gives an added value to students’ learning experience. Students will take the Cambridge IGCSE at the end of Form 4 and the SPM at the end of Form 5. IGCSE is a world-recognised qualification in 180 countries worldwide.

Why Enhanced Curriculum?

“The IGCSE curriculum prepares school students for life, helping them develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning.

Sri Utama students will be offered a challenging and differentiated curriculum that results in the opportunity to complete both the IGCSE and SPM Certificates. There is an 80 – 85% overlap of the Sciences and Mathematics curriculum for SPM and IGCSE. The programmes and qualifications set the global standard for international education. They are created by subject experts, based on academic rigour and reflect the latest educational research.

The IGCSE approach focuses on building independent learners and practical skills.

They provide a strong platform for learners to progress from one stage to the next and are well supported by teaching and learning resources. In order to compete with the best in the world, our education system must develop young Malaysians who are knowledgeable, think critically and creatively, have leadership skills and are able to communicate with the rest of the world. Just as importantly, our students must be imbued with values, ethics and a sense of nationhood.
